Fotostrecke: Das Starterfeld der IndyCar-Saison 2023

Nach sechs Monaten Rennpause geht sie am 5. März auf dem Stadtkurs in St. Petersburg (Florida) endlich los: die Saison 2023 der IndyCar-Serie. Es wird die letzte Saison mit dem aktuellen Motorenreglement.

In der finalen Saison vor Einführung der Hybridmotoren ist das Starterfeld noch einmal angewachsen. 27 Autos sind auf Vollzeitbasis für die gesamte Saison gemeldet. So viele gab es zuletzt 2011. Das war damals die letzte Saison vor Einführung des aktuellen Motorenreglements mit den 2,2-Liter-Turbo-Triebwerken.

In den Cockpits der 27 IndyCar-Boliden, die für die gesamte Saison 2023 gesetzt sind, finden sich fünf Champions, dazu zehn weitere Fahrer, die schon mindestens ein Rennen gewonnen haben, und nicht zuletzt vier Rookies.

Das alles geht in einher mit einigen neuen Fahrer-Team-Paarungen und diversen neuen Autodesigns. Unsere Fotostrecke zeigt das Starterfeld für die IndyCar-Saison 2023 mit allen 27 für die gesamte Saison gemeldeten Autos:
